On Nostromo, a lingering stomach ache could be a sign of terrible things to come. As it grows within its newfound host, the Chestburster writhes around in an amniotic sac, collecting nutrients and DNA from the body it inhabits. When it’s fully gestated, the Chestburster tears through the host’s chest cavity with its razor sharp metallic teeth until free from the body.
